2015 Quantum of the Seas Day 4
Wednesday April 15, 2015
At around 9:00 AM, the ship pulled into Labadee which is a part of Haiti that is owned by Royal Caribbean and reserved for RC's guests. Labadee has several beaches connected by a tram system, gift shops that sell local souvenirs and several restaurants that provide complimentary lunches to RC's guests.

Being our first shore excursion, we were eager to get off the ship, walked a hundred yards or so, boarded the tram and headed for the most remote beach on the island, the Columbus Cove.
For a small tip, workers set up beach chairs at our chosen location which was a few row back from the water edge and under a grove of coconut trees.
Columbus Cove is one of the five beaches on the island and we chose it because the beach is clean, its water clear, warm, and calm. We met up with Loc, Chien, and their families and spent a long time swimming and playing in the water.

For lunch we headed to the Coconut Cove Restaurant and had a great meal of salad, barbeque, roasted chicken, and buttery corn on the cob. Then we headed back to the beach and swam some more.
We came back on the ship about an hour before it departed with plenty of time to get ready for our dinner at the American Icon Grill.
Late in the evening, our group headed to Two-70 to see the Starwater Show.
This is an edgy, multi media show inspired by the sea and the skies that combines art and technologies, and features dancers, singers, synchronized TV screens (the roboscreens), and a huge floor-to-ceiling projection screen. We loved this show and several of us went back to see it again.
Today was Janie's birthday and the whole group got to raise our glasses and cheered her. How great was that you get to celebrate your birthday on a brand new cruise ship with a bunch of friends?
Happy Birthday, Janie!
