Planning a Cruise. The Allure of the Seas
We saw the Allure of the Seas when we were on the Carnival Magic heading to Belize in 2013

We usually take a cruise every two or three years but this year, we decided to do it twice. In April, Lee and I and a three other couples went on a 12-day trip on Royal Caribbean’s Quantum of the Seas in its inaugural season. We traveled from the cruise port Bayonne in New Jersey all the way down to Barbados and back and had a great time. Immediately after we came back, we started talking about cruising again. The talk gained momentum and pretty soon everyone decided to take a cruise in November.

So this is our plan: Five couples will fly to Fort Lauderdale, Florida on November 7, then board the Allure of the Seas the next day for a 7-day Southern Caribbean cruise. We will stop in Bahamas, St Thomas, and St Maarteen before we return to Fort Lauderdale on November 15.

This cruise will be very similar to the Oasis of the Seas cruise we took in 2010. The Allure is identical to the Oasis but newer, and the islands we visit this time are the same ones we visited in 2010. This will be Lee’s and my fourth cruise.

The five couples going on this cruise are part of the group that went together on the Carnival Magic in 2013 and I’m glad we’re traveling together again.

I have read many of the reviews of the Allure of the Seas and I anticipate having great foods, shows, and amenities on the ship. I also look forward to swimming in the warm water of the Southern Caribbean Seas in November, and sharing the fun and laughter with the dear friends we are traveling with.
